poppy bill's birthday party...august 31st!!!

well, i tried to zoom through the pics from august to get caught up to blogging in the present (thanks for all of the encouragement, dad and maribeth!!!) on the last day of august we celebrated my dad's birthday a few days early. as you can tell, sarah thought the occasion was a dress rehearsal for her birthday celebration! the video last week of drew dancing was from the party, too!

sarah, we are so proud of the little girl you have become!!! you are so "grown up" and still a baby all at the same time! your many faces keep us laughing and on our toes! you are the light of our lives and we can't imagine a day without you! little drew already tries to be just like you--and we are so glad you will be there to teach him for the rest of your lives!!!

sarah's first bike...

at the beginning of august, we gave sarah her first bike (an early birthday present). she is having a bike birthday party, so we were hoping she could learn to ride the 2 wheeler with training wheels before the big party day! so far, no such luck :) but, she is enjoying wearing her dora helmet all the time! as you can see, sarah and drew were big helpers during the assembly process again!

what a surprise!!!

pop pop called one saturday morning at the beginning of august telling us that he had a surprise for the kids! wow! what a treat! pop pop and nana brought over an awesome train table that they found at a garage sale...it looks like it has NEVER been touched! it has all the pieces to build an entire train track plus all the little touches like RR crossing signs, etc. all of the wonderful teeny tiny pieces are waiting on drew to get a little older, but the table is front and center in our playroom now! thanks for the fantastic gift!!! wasn't pop pop so lucky to have so much "help" putting the table together?!?

i'm finally finished with july!

so, i've finally gotten through all the pictures we took in july. now, i promise i'll get through august as quickly as possible so i can get to posting current pictures and stories again! we have had a lot of fun adventures in august and september...can't wait to show you!!!

sumner family reunion...in july!

tim took the kids to his mother's side of the family's reunion IN JULY on a saturday when kelly had to work. as you can see, there was NO shortage of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins to lend a hand with our kids. they had a great time...i'm sorry i missed the fun!
