sarah's church choir sings in big church...5.3

sarah's little church choir group sang in sunday morning big church! it was a pretty big deal since the kids usually just sing during the sunday night service...they sang a few short little songs and had a big time! again, they were able to see themselves on the monitors, so they were a tidge distracted!!! it was a sweet moment for a proud mommy and daddy!!!

drew was not concerned with the sanctuary full of people...he sat right down and started chewing on his fingers...ugh!

then he realized the monitors and big screens were showing HIM and his classmates, so he turned around for a while to watch...ugh! (i spared you all the picture of him picking his nose during the song where he was supposed to TOUCH his nose!!!)

sitting with his "resting hands"...he was so particular to get his hands exactly on his knees when he wasn't moving them for an action song!

sarah and her group of 4 year olds...she is near the top in the center-ish of the picture. she is standing behind the girl with the big hair. sweet kalea always has her hair in braids or some other contained arrangement...except for program night! you could barely see sarah!!!

making a fish face...which had nothing whatsoever to do with the song!

after the program, i tried to get sarah and drew to pose on the stage...

this was as good as it got...

i had much better luck with sarah's individual shot...

not so much with drew...he was trying to tell me what kind of ice cream he wanted and wouldn't sit still or smile for the picture!

we had a fun time watching the cute spring program...mimi, poppy, nana, pop pop, tim, jacob, and i all attended. it was hilarious as always. so many sweet kids on stage at once always makes for some good entertainment!!!

somebody's getting rice cereal...4.30

jacob was really excited to sit in the high chair "like a big boy"...he kept banging on the tray and laughing! (notice the lack of bib...we really had to re-educate ourselves on feeding!)

of course, this first rice cereal eating extravaganza was a family affair...everyone took a turn feeding little man...

mommy first...

drew next...(look how wide open jake's mouth is!)

then sarah...(who was having a FIT that jacob was soooo messy. she kept running to get wet wipes for us to clean him up...it took multiple feedings of cereal before she calmed down about the messiness!!!)

and, finally daddy...

he was so happy!

until the cereal was all gone...

i was such a rebel and fed jacob rice cereal on the 30th of april. his birthday is really confusing me. its the 31st. and not all months have 31 days. so, he hasn't had all his month-birthdays! you know? like, he was 6 months old on april 31st...but that doesn't exist!?!

i know its silly, but i like to have the 31st!!! anyway...i was going to wait til may 1st to feed him cereal, but daddy convinced me to let the poor child have something other than milk...

you know, on his possibly one-day-early-but-who-really-knows-because-there-are-only-30-days-in-april-6-month-birthday!!!

its obvious that jake was as happy as a lark to get that spoon in his mouth!!!

oh, wow! drew is old enough to perform in the spring program at preschool now! how did THAT happen?!? above he is very serious and concentrating really hard on his performance :)

the fours and fives sang the sweetest song about looking to God and praising Him...i was so teary eyed after watching all those precious, innocent little children sing such an awesome praise song!

i wish i could take the precious smiles that each of my kids gave me in DIFFERENT pictures and put them all in one...since i can't, you have 4 pictures to admire :)

as soon as i found out jacob was going to be a boy last summer, i got online and ordered these cute matching outfits for drew and baby boy. it was really the only thing i purchased ahead of time for baby...i love my sweet boys!!!
