we celebrated tim's 31st birthday with dinner at mimi and poppy's house. the kids had the best time donning their birthday hats and blowing the horns so hard their eyes crossed :) we had steaks and then ice cream instead of cake per timmy's request. it was a great way to ring in the 32nd year of tim's life!!!

one sunday night after church, we had a watermelon social. there were cookies there in case someone didn't like watermelon (who, i ask, wouldn't like watermelon?!?). well, jake's little friend sarah katherine decided he needed a few chocolate cookies too! and this was the end result! and happy and very dirty little man!!!

graduation party at mimi and poppy's...8.15

one of my mom's favorite friends, miss brenda's daughter audrey graduated from the university of memphis this summer! and mimi and poppy helped to throw a party to celebrate. there were probably 50 adults there...and my 3 kids :)

according to mimi, the kids were well behaved. according to me, i was absolutely exhausted from child wrangling the whole night!!! sarah and drew spent most of the night watching movies in mimi's room. jake hung out with daddy.

it was a very nice party! we were so happy to help audrey celebrate her big accomplishment. audrey babysits for us occasionally, so the big kids L.O.V.E. her...sarah wanted to be by her side the whole time!!!

the weekend of my just ducky show, mimi took the big kids to the children's museum...

from the kids' reports, they had the best time ever...

which i can TOTALLY understand...

since they conned mimi into letting them do everything they wanted to!!!

see this? my kids in the metal caged maze. yeah, i've never let them do that one before...

i'm so thankful that my kiddos can do such fun things with their mimi!!!

and occasionally, they DO act like they love one another :)

AND...as soon as the sirens stopped going off, i DID go to my girls' night out :)
