ava's birthday party...dora and princesses!!!

apparently, ava couldn't decide between a dora party and a princess party...so her sweet mom did both! the girls all got their faces and hands painted...

then they all decorated their princess crowns...
then, miss beth read them a story about dora going on an adventure...
they went to grandma's house to get a snack (not sure of the spanish for house or grandma!)...
then they "climbed up and down the mountain"...
then they "crossed the bridge"...



sarah was one tired little girl after a morning at the sprinkler park and an afternoon at a birthday party!

what does daddy do while mommy is working?

daddy took the kids to the sprinkler park while mommy worked on saturday morning! the kids had a blast! i think tim did too! he really likes his special time with the kids on saturday mornings! sarah made a little friend while they were there. apparently, they ate all of her mom's snacks then headed over to tim to finish off the snacks on sarah's towel. drew preferred to take his snack standing up...and not sharing :)

1st day of swim lessons

happy 6th anniversary to us!!!

tim surprised me with a trip to tunica for our 6th anniversary! he arranged for his parents to keep both kids for us overnight so we could celebrate just the two of us! it was the first time we had been away together since having two. and actually, we have only done this one other time since sarah was born! and, we realized today was the first time we had both slept in since at least september 28, 2004 (the day before sarah was born)! we had a HUGE suite at the terrace hotel (part of the grand resort) with 2 full baths, a dining room, a living room, and bedroom. the bathroom even had a 32 inch tv in it! i watched friends while sitting in the whirlpool tub! nice! we enjoyed our short (less than 18 hour) trip away, but we were so excited to see the kiddos again! funny how much things have changed in 6 short years!
