our church held the coolest event. it was a night for families to come hang out in the faith building. sounds amazing, right? but, seriously. it was great.

they had a huge movie screen playing one of the ice age movies in one room. they had all the toddler play equipment set up in another room. and they had a room set up with ping pong tables, wiis on a couple of tv's, and a few other older kid things in one room. and they had pizza, drinks, popcorn, and all the candy a child could ever dream of!!!

the part that made me call it one of our best family nights ever, though was just the location! we were all in the faith building, with no chance of the kids escaping! the kids all ran around to their little hearts content while the adults got to visit and take occasional head counts!!!

it wasn't stressful like being in a huge public place where you are constantly on edge about your children annoying strangers. you didn't have to worry about your kids falling into a lake. you didn't have to worry about your kids getting too deep into the pool. you didn't have to worry about your kids running too far away at the zoo. you get the idea...it was perfect!

we are looking forward to many more of these fun evenings in our future!!!

last day of nvs dance camp...7.10

sarah lives to dance. she is always dancing. she doesn't just "walk" anywhere. she throws in a twirl or a dance step or a skip. she loves to listen to music so she can dance along...

she was beyond thrilled to attend a week long dance camp at her dance studio this summer. i think its been the highlight of her short life. getting to do warm ups and cool downs with ALL the girls (all the way up to high school) was about the best thing ever...in her opinion :)

we've never had one before, but we decided to get jake one of those fresh food feeder thingys for babies. at first, he had no clue what it was...but then when he realized a big ole juicy piece of watermelon was in it, he was a happy camper!!!

sarah is CONSTANTLY "talking" on her cell phone to her imaginary friends. i mean, ALL. THE. TIME. i don't know where she gets that...

we got all the kids into their pjs and settled them into the bed to watch a movie together...

mother hen sarah had to make sure everyone was taken care of...

we had a great time at the jenkins' house for the 4th of july. we were smart enough to save the fireworks for when the kids weren't outside this time.
