well, i had another OB appointment this morning. things are supposedly moving right along. its funny, i WANT to have my baby at 40 weeks-full term-so he will be as big and healthy as possible, but its still disappointing when you hear that you aren't going into labor in the next 2 minutes :) i am dilating and effacing a bit, but nothing that sent us rushing right over to the hospital.
i just realized as i was typing this, that to me, and all other women of childbearing age, these words and conversations are so commonplace...but, to some random person on the internet, this might all be a little too much information :) so, if you aren't into routine OB discussions, you may want to skip these little weekly updates until jacob arrives!!!
bottom line from the appointment, mommy is still healthy and baby is still healthy and it appears that baby will come when he is ready...hopefully no induction necessary! dr. williams said if she HAD to guess she'd say it would be another 2 weeks. again, i'd only be 39 weeks at that point, so REALLY that's what we want...but i think it would definitely be more comfortable on the OTHER side of delivery at this point. i go back next thursday, so until then...
