flashback...new moon premiere...11.19.09

a long. long. long. long. time ago...i went with a few of my crazy friends to see the premiere of new moon at the midnight viewing...yes. we are crazy. my sweet friend mary is a tidge obsessed with all things twilight and hosted an amazing party complete with mushroom ravioli, blood type drinks, and more...(only a true twilight lover will understand...)

we hung out at her house all evening, playing the twilight trivia game and watching the first movie, then we headed out to our midnight movie with all of the screaming teenage girls in the memphis area. it was a hoot. seriously. the theater was filled with teenie boppers and then silly women my age :)

p.s. for some reason, we ALL let amy do our make-up during our party. and we were in bad lighting. and we all ended up with scary white eyes...she swears that it looked good in real life, but just didn't photograph well :) regardless, NONE of us normally look as "dolled up" as we did that night!!!

i think i finally got into bed about 4am! but, the memories were worth it!!!

recessive genes...

still can't believe i have a little one with bright blue eyes!!! wonder what recessive genes baby matthew will have?!? not too long until we find out! scheduled c-section for 3.10.10!!!

snow!!!...2.8

we had a very unexpected snow day...with all the hype we have had this winter that resulted in NO snow, this day arrived with little to no fanfare!

i think the official readings were 5-6 inches of snow...it was definitely up to the top of the kids' boots!

we put baby brother down for a nap and headed outside for some fun!!!

tim and the kids put a lot of effort into constructing two gigantic snowmen!!!

oh my goodness...you would have thought a car full of disney characters were coming the way sarah and drew started running after the little's van!!!

snow apparently makes everyone ravenously hungry! we had snacks all day long! it was really fun to have the littles and yorks join us for the snow day!

i think i briefly mentioned before that baby jacob was not feeling well the week of christmas...we were planning to get up on the 26th and drive to louisiana to spend a few days celebrating the holiday with our family. but, with jake being under the weather, we decided that a 6 hour car ride and non stop busy days with no naps was probably not the best way to help him get better!!!

when mimi, poppy, and uncle andy came back from franklinton, their car was loaded down with presents for our three little munchkins! everyone is so generous and so sweet to give so many wonderful presents to our kids! sarah and drew had a blast opening present after present! and when baby jake woke up, he had 2 very eager helpers for his presents too!

thanks to all of my amazing family members for the gifts! we appreciate them more than you know!!!

where does the time go?

well, i have been away from blogging for a LONG time...

i don't have any new excuses.

i still have 3 kids.

i am still pregnant.

i am still in denial that a new little baby is making his appearance in a few weeks!

i didn't take very many pictures in january...i guess i was burned out from picture overload in december!

i will blog what i did document in pictures over the next few days to try to get caught up!!!
